Noob in the 12s

Hello

Purchased a 2002 Corvette Coupe back in Dec. and finally got a chance to take it to a track rental in the beginning of may. Car has Kooks 1 7/8" headers with 3x3" catted crossover and a z06 Ti catback with an A4. Was a pretty humid/warm day. Took about 3 passes to crack off a twelve and ended up getting three 12 second passes. The best being below:

60': 1.9835
1/8: 8.4189 @ 86.56
1/4: 12.93 @ 108.07

Congrats!

Get some drag radials and you'll see your time drop a good bit more.

Nice job hittin the 12s! I agree, some drag radials and you'll be able to launch it harder without spinning. What gears are you running? Cooler, less humid weather will also see a significant improvement, especially in your trap speed, even if you don't get drag radials.

I was a little traction limited. Was bringing the car up to about 1200. Anything past that resulted in some decent spin out of the hole, along with the fact that the fastest run was right after the sun came out in full force after 4 days of rain. So it was nice and hot/humid. Stock 2.73 gears in the back.
