Default Hit the 12s tonight!

Well The best pass I made tonight at the track was a 12.76
My setup is in my signature..i was running all motor...I bought the car with all the suspension done and have not adjusted it at all yet...the QA1s are set to their stiffest setting all the way around the car and I have 18" wheels with pretty worn out Nitto 555s on them so I feel there is still a good bit of room for improvement....

Here is the run down
60' - 2.064
330' - 5.504
1/8 - 8.315
mph - 87.70
1000' - 10.737
1/4 - 12.76
mph - 111.53


Gonna get some Weld pro stars with M/T ET Streets and I have a Service light on I need to figure out... Full leather interior car that weighs 3520 without driver.....

nice, what size cam ? and is it a4 or m6 ?

sweet.. get some ET streets on some 15's and skinnies and you will see a great improvement espeacialy with spray

Thanks! I still feel there is a lot on the table and the car can get into the low 12's....I would really like High 11's on motor but I am not sure if that is possible....my highest mph was 112.6...

This is a M6 car...

Cam specs are
230/236
.510/.520 112lsa

I am running 1.6 rockers so I guess that adds .030 to the lift?? Its a comp cam and I don't know if the cam card is for 1.5 rockers or 1.6?? I'm still new to this...

The last dyno with the old setup was 391.5hp and 363tq...on motor
Since then I rebuilt the bottom end with the same Ross pistons and compression but used a lightweight crank, Double Roller timing set and added an electric water pump..so it may make a little more power than it did....

yeh out times are close I run 8.0 at 87mph in the 8th mile on motor with stock stall , lol and 7.5 at 91mph on a 75 shot ,and we have the same crappy nittos 555, lol

Yea the 555's are not very good...i heated them up pretty good and still had to launch soft not to spin....high 2.0 60' and the 18" wheels don't help at all since there isn't much sidewall on the tires...

I adjusted my QA1s to be a little softer now..I am going to re-locate the battery to the back and I am going to get some pro stars with ETs and skinnies and I feel like I can get a much better run...

I am in the process of getting my new business off the ground so it will prob be a while before I get to buy much though...

what size cam are you running?

your 60ft does need some work ,you should be pulling at least 1.8,s with your mods ,my cam is cc503 ,stock heads 1.7 scorpions , and front sway was removed and the rear seat ,in the process of getting a stall also.

There is your problem! You said you loosened up the front shocks?? What do you have them set on?

Just for reference...I drive my truck around on the street with the front shocks set to 1 and the rears set to 6. It hooks pretty hard even on the street. Granted this is in a truck that weighs a good amount less than your car plus it is a truck (funky weight distribution) but I was just trying to give ya an example!

If I were you I would just start both the shocks on a mid setting and keep adjusting until your traction stops improving. But personally I think you will see a big improvement just by loosening the front end up.

the front and rears were set on the stiffest settings...

I now have the rear driver on 5 and the passenger on 6 to offset the car squatting more on the passenger side... but I have not adjusted the fronts at all....

I will put the fronts on 6 as well and see how that does!
