Default 12.99 at 100mph with a 2.17 60ft (need help with 60ft)

Our local car forum had a trackday I drove 2hrs got to the track weighed in at 3600lbs with me in it, let the car sit for in hour. I made 4 pass.

Mods:
BBK intake
TSP 228r cam (supporting mods)
Kooks Lt & ORY
ASP pulley
Bilstein shocks
BMR spings
Umi panhard bar
UMI sub frames
BMR relocation brackets

Have a HSW plate kit but did not use it as I was trying to work on my 60ft times

First pass: 12.99 at 100mph missing 4th gear and with a 2.17 60ft. Left at about 1500rpm and it bogged down.

Second pass: did a second gear durnout for about 7 sec. launched it at 3000rpm and spun like crazy ended up with a 13.2 with a 2.3 60ft

Third pass: same burnout as second pass, tried launching at 2500rpm and it spun also. Missed 3rd and just coasted to the finish.

Fourth pass: Same burnout, lauched at 2200 rpm felt like it hooked but I missed second gear. I didn't even stop to get my slip I was so pissed.

I started out at 19lbs of pressure in my tires. And worked my way down to 15lbs, also I was on Goodyear comp drag radials 255/50/16

What am I doing wrong on my 60ft? Please give me some pointers, I know with the nitrous this cars has low 11's maybe high 10's in it. Any advice will be apericated.

Yea what tires do you have? if they are street tires you shouldnt be doing burnouts at all. a normal street tire "glaze over" after doing a burnout and traction is worse. If you have a drag radial, disregard all that.

What was your MPH on the other passes?

Yea I talked to other guys, some were having trouble and some were not. It was a hit or miss. There were a lot of cars on street tires running through the water box that was one issue for sure. We had them re prep the track half way through the day and the track was good for all of 30 mins and it was back to **** again.

Oppps dont know how i missed that must be getting tired lol.

Is the car tuned? I went 12.9 at 108 with stock cam and convertor, i would think you should have a better mph. Yeah i know it doesnt have to do with your traction but just a thought to help with overall et.

Car lowered?

well its obvious ur not hooking up so if ur shocks are adjustable then start playing w/them, also i would be picky on whose in front of u at the staging lanes, I personally start looking at whose in front, if they have DR's cool, if not i lag and let other guys jump in front..otherwise I've actually talked to newbs and explain Y street tires dont need to go thru the water box..

The car is tunned by myself and a friend using hptuners. Im sure i would have higher mph if i ever get a clean pass lol.

The car is lowered with BMR 1' lowering springs

I wish i would of bought some adjustable QA1's but i have SLP Bilsteins Shocks. I only go to the track 2-3 times a year i plan on changing that next year and get a lot of much needed seat time and get everything dialed in.

Im just wanting to know what other people are doing to get lower 60ft times step by step. I know every car is different but something has to work better then what im doing

With or without sway bar it still is missing a couple pieces to this puzzle imo .

Front sway bar was on the car but that shouldn't affect my 60ft that bad.

I'm needing to find out what other people are doing to get 1.760fts or better and ill try there way and build it around my car.

On motor I believe my car should be a low 12's car and on nitrous a low 11's.

you need to be doing a nuclear 2nd gear burnout with about 13 psi in the tires cold (it will go up slightly as the tires get hot).

what are you doing with the clutch off the line? only time i've ever had a 60' above 2.1 was by straight up dumping it. granted, i did go 13.2 on a 2.4 60', that day was still a very poor showing haha.

Feather your clutch out more....sounds like you just need more seat time, no big deal.

When I had my LT1 M6 I would take it to a nicely prepped back road and practice launching like crazy. Once I got it down on the street; launching at the track was a breeze to me. It just took a long time to perfect it.

M6 just needs a bias ply tire and a high launch rpm. Of course if you have a 10 bolt that be a issue launching a m6 correctly. I launch at 6k and have cut 1.58 60fts with stock shocks. But would atleast launch at 4k and give a quick slip/dump if that makes since.

What tire pressures you running. I run my Nitto's and my Mickeys down to 15 psi range. BFG's are shitty, good street tire, not the best at the track. I run Nitto's on the street and MT's at the track.
