It is faster than I thought!
Took my hot rod to the track for the first time last Sunday for test n tune.
91 S10 with a 6.0L LQ4, 706 heads, new valves, new "LS6" valve springs. MSD 6014, Quick Fuel Street Brawler 750 carb Holley single plane. TH350 with what I think is a Hughes GM35 converter. 4.10 gears in the Explorer 8.8 out back. Caltracs and 255/60-15 MT SS tires.
Been putting this together for the last year and a half on a budget. It gets 15ish MPG thanks to air bleed and jet tuning on the street(thanks Speed trigger!!) I was expecting 12.5 tops with a factory LQ4. Has some serious traction issues off the line need to get the caltracs dialed in and maybe some shocks in the near future.

Skipped the burnout with the BFG's staged the car at 2000 rpm and released the clutch. Tire spin right out of the hole of course but took the car to around 6500 each gear to the finish line. I haven't put the Hoosiers on yet to see what happens with a burn out and good launch.

Is that what this is? I was only sharing my experience making a pass at the strip with my car just as you. Certainly did not mean to offend you.
