Default 12's first time out

r/t---------- .952
60'---------- 1.869
330----------5.272
1/8 ET-------8.08
1/8 MPH-----87.72
1000' ET-----10.493
1/4 ET-------12.532
1/4 MPH-----110.53

What I don't get is the car runs really good for the amount of mods I have, I still have manifolds on this thing.
Mod list
2001 SS M6, SLP lid, Granitelli MAF,Fernco bellow,B+M Ripper, Random Tech catback, UMI lower control arm, UMI phr, BFG Dr's.
Is this normal for these cars? I come from a old muscle car background, my old Super Bee was a h/c full bolt on plus weight reduction and 4:56 gears and it only ran a best of 12.14 @111 mph. I barley farted on this SS and it is running mid 12's. I have only had it a year so maybe ther is stuff on it that I don't know about, I added all the mods in my sig, and the car looks and sounds stock. What do you guys think.

Congrats. 01 and 02's have pretty good manifolds. You have to go to Long Tubes to get better.

Yeah, the stock manifolds appear quite good. I still have the stock ones on my car. I even ran the time in my sig on stock exhaust w/ gutted cats & cutout.

Going for 11's on the stock manifolds this year!

I kind of want to keep the stock manifolds and gut the cats. I am debating sending the manifolds out and having them extrude honed, I like the stealth aspect of it.

LS1s are REALLY REALLY fast dude, plain and simple.
Just for reference I ran all the way down to 12.1@111.7 NA with stock internals still with stock manifolds/stock cats on the car so there is A LOT of potential in there.

No N2O. Gonna try on motor. I doubt the 10 bolt will handle the abuse but you have to have a goal!

A place called Hinson Supercars will sell you a pair of CNC ported exhaust manifolds for under $200. They make them for the RX7 LS1 conversions where they have a hard time fitting headers. I really don't think they would help our cars much, though. From what I hear people see very little gains even with shorty headers. You pretty much have to step up to long tubes from the factory manifolds to see any significant gains.
