Default 1/8 mile et = 12 sec pass?

I'm wondering what a 12 second pass et/trap speed is in the 1/8 mile. If I'm doing the math right, it would be around under 8.5?

So 1/8th mile et = (1/4 et)*.665 - .22

Its supposed to be accurate within 3 tenths of a second.

Um, that formula is a little off..................if you look at the 1/8 mile times in the link I posted before and use that formula for a few of the times, it's about .3-.5 second off on the high side. maybe that just means we have more high end power than what that formula was written for.

No where in my post does it state that the formula was accurate. I said that it "approximates" the 1/4 mile time from the 1/8 mile time. I also stated that it is "supposed" to be accurate within 3 tenth of a second. You stated above that "it's about .3-.5 second off on the high side" That sounds about right doesn't it? To get an accurate time, your going to have to take it to the .25 and run.
