Default Finally going to the track tomorrow!

I'm finally getting to the track tomorrow for the first time with my new car. And by tomorrow night I should be able to post up my 12 second slip. I've tried to go 2 times this year but both times we got rained out. Wish me luck

Yeah, absolutley NO luck needed here! You'll probably be starring down 12.1s and 12.0s all night. Ill wish you luck, on hitting an 11.9! Go represent the ZO6s!

I'm not looking for luck to get into the 12's, I'm just hoping it doesn't start raining until after I get a few runs in. I just want my 12 second slip so I can get the 12 sec. title under my name..... then it's hopefully on to the 11's

Just called NED, they say it looks good for the track rental at 1:00

Hope to finally have my 12 sec slip!
I wish it wasn't going to be 90 with high humidity, but I'll take what I can get!

Well I got my 12 second slip, but it could have been better, it was 98-101 and humid the entire time we were at the track & my car was running hot, but I managed a 12.6 @ 114 on a 2.0 60'. I got 11 runs in and ran real consistant 12.7 at 113.5. It's not anywhere near what I wanted to run, but in that weather I gues it's not that bad.... Now I just need a 70 degree day with low humidity!

On a day like yesterday.. that's good. I'll bet that you from a good 1/2 second if you make some runs towards the end of september.

Thats what I'm hoping for. I haven't been that since I lived in South Carolina. The coolest temp we saw was 97 when we were teching in, by the time I made my first run it was 99. By 2:30 it was 101. I was soaked, my clothes my helmet, everything. Some guy had one of those temp guns and the track temp was 138 So I was hoping for more like a 12.2-12.3 at 115-116, but considering the weather it wasn't that bad.

Yup, no doubt in decent weather you'll run 12.2s@about 115 or 116. I like trying to guess exactly. I would say with awesome traction (1.8 60 ft) you'll hit a 12.0@about 116 or 117. I ran this past week too in the terrible heat. Best i could run was 12.9@105. Not near as good as my usual 12.6@107. Anyway good luck on future runs! Im waiting for cooler weather before i test my TNT kit.

Thats what I'm hoping for, I might even buy myself a set of nitto's before I go back. I was running 2.0 60's all day on worn F1 sc's, so in cool weather with a set of nitto's I'm hoping for low, low 12's
