New best with Bolt Ons

Talking New best with Bolt Ons

Hey guys I just got my new best with bolt ons in my 99 Camaro SS 6spd Mods are
Ls6 Intake
Jet-Hot LT Headers
Lanes True Duals
SLP Lid
Spohn ADJ T/A
BMR LCA
Spec Stage 3 clutch
275/40/17 Nitto DR (Do not hook to well in 1st gear)
4.10 Gears
UNTUNED (I am waiting for a cam swap to tune it)


Best ET Break down

R/T .004
60ft 1.83
330ft 5.106
1/8- 7.82
1/8 MPH- 89.77
1000ft 10.16
1/4- 12.10
1/4 MPH 114.02

I was happy with the Pass, but on all mu runs I hit the rev limiter before I went through the traps So I think I could do better had I had my Limiter at 6300 and had my car fully Tuned. But I am happy with how it runs with bolt ons.

I only launch at about 2500-3000 rpm due to the 10bolt and nitto's, and shift at around 5800. But up here in MN the track was cold at this time of year so I did a lot of spinning. I cannot wait to get a 12bolt and some slicks though then I can launch at 5,000 rpm and have tires that will hook

I just sold my M6 to jump ship to an auto, but you've given me motivation to "stick" with it.....lol

Keep the M6 I have way to much fun banging the gears to ever swap to an A4, but that is just my opinion!!!

I'm looking to do a mild heads/cam package (LPE GT2-3 w/ TEA 1.5 5.3Ls), then maybe hit the giggle juice on top. Thinking the A4 might work better with that power....I LOVE ripping thru the gears too, but the sweet launch of a stalled auto and consistent E.T.'s are really attractive!

How's the 10-bolt holding up?

I am on my 2nd one But I am getting a 12Bolt here for the next mod to the car. But as far as a lot of power with a stick my buddy has a 00' Z28 with stage 2 5.3 heads, a TSP 231/237 cam, and a 200 shot which landed him at 620 rwhp and he runs a 6spd But you are correct on the launch and the consistant E.T.s you get with the Auto

At only 400rwhp, the 12-bolt/9" is gonna suck some power back up from the 6 spd car, whereas I could get away with the 10-bolt on the A4.

What kinda times is your buddy running?

Yeah But I won't go any slower with a 12 Bolt being I will be able to lauch at 5,000+ RPM, My guess is I will gain a couple 10ths with the 12bolt swap. My buddy has not had a chance to run on the bottle yet, he does not have a roll bar yet, but on Motor he runs 11.20s at 123mph so they still give him warnings that he needs a roll bar.

Nice runs Dan. Do you dump the clutch from 3000 or just slip it fast? My car was hooking perfectly at CF and all I pulled was a 1.91 and a few other 1.9X's. I was going from like 3000-3500. I suppose the gears help a lot with the bogging though. I was bogging pretty bad.
