Default Analyze Me.

Last time I ran at the track was February 5th... I had the exact same mods as I have now... Except when I run Sunday, I'll have 2 Nitto 555R Drag Radials on the rear....
This was my best time:

.547
2.105
5.805
8.745
84.37
11.277
13.420
105.49

When I ran before I ran with Kumho Ecsta tires....

So what is the best I can hope for, without being too optimistic..

Also, should I be worried about my rear end? My car has 51k miles on it, its an 02, and I've never driven it with DR on it, until when I mount them before I go to the track..

Any advice, anything that will help me? Thanks

A4 with no TC, my guess would be 1.8xx 60' time and high 12s.

i am right there with ya buddy , almost same mods, i ran 13.1 on bald fuzions (heheh) , i dont have an air lid , but same gears, i have shorty headers, and im picking up my nittos friday and making a u-line for sdr hoping to break 12s for the season , but i heard that better tires (i.e. e/t streets) with shave a .4 off your time, so try to lose some weight before you go and you who knows , i think ive got it under the belt but i'll be watching this thread for any last minute suggestions, but may i suggest that you get your car power tunned?especially those shift points , we gained .4 secs on shift point adjustment, i'll be praying for ya

Drop the psi to 17 lbs or so. Do a good burnout (count seven seconds after you see smoke) and stage asap. I bet your 60' drops to 1.9 and you hit 13.0 @ 105 (assuming similair weather to when you ran last). You might hit a high 12 but air temp may be the deciding factor on whether or not you get the ever elusive first 12 second slip.

Good luck.

It's tommorow (sunday 9 AM- 6 PM)..

My neighbor Jack (JEB99TA), just helped me (well I didn't really do much) put on 2 Nitto 555R's, which he provided to me for free... I am very nervous however about the possibility of snapping my rear end, because of the fact that I'm not even supposed to take my car to the track.... I'm trying to reason with faith that if "the man" lets me make some passes safely, I'll stay away for another LONG period of time..

pray for me .

I hope you're not serious, at your power level.. or herin lack of - you aren't at any risk of hurting the rear. I see you are in Lake Mary, Carter lives in that area... his car was in the mid 10's and running full slicks on the stock 10 bolt - never broke it. He has a stack of timeslips from those days.

Do a good burnout after you go around the water box, stage and stall it up as high as it will go, then stab it on the 3rd yellow. It works, I promise.

I will be out there tomorrow... look for a red WS6 and a red SS, I'll be out there with my friends.

Just because carter did it, doesn't mean im gaurantee'd of nothing going wrong....

Whats your name, I'll check out your ride.

What do you mean "practice with the tires tonight" ??

i wish I could just relieve the stress of possibly breaking the rear end..It could cost me the car...

Weather wasn't great, but...

New Best R/T .204
60' 1.994
330 5.645
1/8 8.596
MPH 84.75
1000 11.142
1/4 13.316
103.72

Old Best .547
2.105
5.805
8.745
84.37
11.277
13.420
105.49
Why such a change in my MPH, seems like I got a great start, but declined at the end ... , PS: The Nitto 555R's were amazing when I heated them up .

What can I do to improve the car, without anything major changing (headers, cam, stuff like that) thats cheap? I'm going to order FTRA and possibly a QTEC cutout for my stock exhaust system..?
