I have a friend with an 03, his best ET so far is a 12.0. He runs consistent 118mph with a best of 123 and the car put down 470 at the rear wheels.
If I am not mistaken he has a pulley, exhaust, TB, and a custom tune.
He is on MT drag radials 60ft times are ok usually in the 1.8's.
Met a guy at the dyno today with an 04, same mods and on Nitto's. Just for comparison he put down 468 today, his mph is consistently 121-122 and his 60 ft times are in the low 1.6's. He powershifts the car and leaves the line dumping the clutch at 5 grand. Best et is an 11.40.
These cars are heavy 3900 lbs. I never cared much for the Mustangs but they do put down some serious #'s off the showroom floor. The
driver makes all the difference in the world on these cars from what I can tell.

I think your lucky to live in a area that only has a few FAST Cobras then.
Really with only a 114 trap speed i would think you would have a lot more trouble with them.
As most with just a pulley /CAI,reflash will(can/should)easily trap much higher than that.
And that is what really matters on the streets. And the trap speeds are more impressive at the track than a quick e/t,IMO.
I have run mid to low 12's at only 106 before ,with a few issues . To me that is not too impressive. Yes my car comes out of the hole REAL nice,but with low mph.
With no more than Exhaust,stall and a 75 shot i have run 11.62@117 1.56 60ft on drls. I still respect Cobras for what they are.
That's my whole point,why all the hatred?
I know it is going to take a LOT of mods(MONEY) to get my LS1 trapping around 130 like some nicely set-up 03's are doing.
That's impressive in my opinion.

Around here trap speed means nothing to your 1/4 mile time since all our street races we have some one mark off the 1/4 mile and who ever gets there first takes the money .
We dont ever do it from a roll . or race farther than that.

03 04 cobras are the best bank for the money wen your looking in to a new sports car.it use too be corvette's not no more u could find a new cobra in the 20's$.03 04 zo6's go for 40 50 thousand$. there are some people that see someone that has a cobra and they think they could drive.wen 50% of them dont becauce ive had a few cobra's they need good drivers too pull good times . and the new z06 it's not worth the money

its a steal for the performance package.. with a warranty.. tell me where you can get that much horsepower in that light of a car with that type of suspension in that price range with a factory warranty..

the car is nice and fast but for that$$$ is not worth it too much$$ the only people buyng that car are rich. the covette that i would buy is a 99 c5 or 01 z06 that would be a good buy
