letting go at 4000 rpms on the street is a bit different than at the drag strip where the surface is a lot more stickier.... Maybe I'll try 2500 first and see how that goes...
I was able to pull low/mid 1.7s on my nittos when I had bolt-ons. I would suggest pulling the front sway bar off for track runs ( it only takes about 10 mins). I would bring the revs up to about 3500 and slip the clutch a little to get the car to hook. I was also running 15 psi in the tires. This same technique allowed me to pull low 1.8s on sumitomo street tires regularly, granted I just was a little slower on the clutch release. My best time on the sumitomo tires was a 12.55 @ 113.

With lots of practice I just ran a 12.79 @ 108 Wed. night with nothing but a Yank 3000 stall, lid + CAI, and very old Nitto DR(00Z28). I was ver happy. I backed it up with four 12.9 runs. 1.9 60' pretty consistent, wish I would have went bigger.

you havent ran at heartland park yet? you were talkin about your tires. i ran a set of nitto tires and couldnt hook up. i got rid of them and bought a set mickey tompson E/T steets they are like 156.00 each. i knocked my 60 ft from a 2.01 down to a 1.70 and dropped close to 3/8's of a second off my time. hpt is a good track when they prep it.

yea last race was 3 weeks ago. from my understanding they are doin a lil work down past the traps this winter i think its for the raod to the pits. yea i cant remember the first date next year i think its early april. check out the heartland park website www.hpt.com.
