Here we go some more......
Here ya go another what do you think I will run post.... but I have to know the track is closed and will not re open for a couple of months. I have a 2002 Z. It has a lid, a conservitive tune, no cats (o/r Y), and a dynomax bullit. Oh and its an auto. yes it has the 2:73's. I live in central oklahoma, and was wondering if it was out of the question for this car to dip into the 12's. It runs really strong. The only thing I have really raced was a lightning with a 2lb pulley full exhaust and a tune, and I put bus lengths on him, and I was the one spinning! That kind of gave me high hopes, but are they to high???

Well depends on wether you run DR or slicks. Street tires mid 13's sounds about right, and with some sticky tires you might dip into the 12's. A stall and slicks would get you into the 12s for sure.

2.73 gears, untuned, street tires.
Drag radials won't help very much. Especially M/T drag radials. I had them on my car and they hooked very good...so good that my 2.73s couldn't pull away and bogged down...slowing my car down..haha
Headers will be one of the best mods you can do right now.

Badass!! thats what I am talking about!! That gives me high hopes to at least dip into the 12's the way it sits. What kind of 60ft did you have on that pass???

I predict you'll run around 13.4 @ 105. The 2.73's are a real killer. My buddy with a 98 formula has 2.73 gears, LT headers, ORY, lid, ported TB and a TCI 3000 stall and only runs 12.9 @ 107 on a 1.9 60'. But he does have a little timing pulled for his N20 so on a normal tune he's probably a 12.7 @ 108.
Get a 3600 stall, 3.42 gears and drag radials. That'll not only guarantee a 12.xx run but will put a big smile on your face when you launch some 1.7 60's while being pinned back in your seat
Good luck in the spring. I hope you have a freak and get 12's as you sit. Just don't be too upset if you're still in the mid to low 13's.

I actually got a rear end out of my buddies ws6 that has 3:42's in it and plan on installing it in a couple of months. I really don't want to do a stall at least untill I do a cam or rebuild the tranny. I have high hopes because it does run stron for a mostly stock ls1 but won't be disapointed if it don't.
