Building a 12sec car I just got a stock 2000 z28 with 30k miles and its a beautiful slate for me to build on. Quick question before I list what parts Im thinking of putting on and maybe some ideas from everyone. Does anyone know if the 2000 had the LS6 intake?

and http://www.lmperformance.com/4170/1.html for a converter
Also looking to get some lower control arms since I've heard when you start getting some power these cars have a real problem with wheel hop.
I'm open to suggestions and other sites for better prices! Also I'll buy any of these parts used if anyone has a good deal.

01-02's came with LS6 intake
I had that same converter in my T/A.. Ended up taking out my FLT transmission, but it worked well before that. Personaly I would go with a Yank.

Hey congrats on your new ride. ls6 intake came on 01 02 ls1's only so you don't have one on your 2000. Ironiclly I just put one on my car tonite hopefully will be going to the track thurs. or fri. to see what gains i pick up. By the way as you can tell in my sig i'm right down the road from you, maybe bump into ya on the road in the future, small world huh! What color and where did ya get it? Easssy to get into the 12s.
If this is true, there is DEFINITELY some bad information going around (and has been for a very long time), because I've done a lot of reading and talking and never heard of an 01 that came with an LS1 intake. Every one I've ever seen had the LS6. Are you speaking from a personal experience? Because it's possible that someone swapped one onto your car and took the LS6 figuring most people wouldn't know the difference.
