Default Unhappy with the results

Well ive been to the track 3 times now and the result is always the same. My mods are in the sig.

My best time so far is
R/t - .499
60' - 2.195
330 - 5.754
1/8 - 8.647
mph - 85.63
1000 - 11.103
1/4 - 13.173
Mph - 109.24

this is all on street tires with plenty of tread left. this is also leaving is also leaving off idle. im too afraid of breaking my rear though. any suggestions would be appreciated

Your issue lies with your 60'. You need to get it to a 2.0 or under and you should be in the 12.8's or better. Don't worry about your rear end, your tires are going to break loose before your 10 bolt does.

Stock clutch? If so just launch it at 3500 and let the clutch slip absorb the brunt of teh punishment.

Your HP numbers still must be way off with that trap.......unless your shifting needs a lot of work.

You probably won't break the rear on street tires unless you wheel hop really badly. Get those 60's down in the 2.0 range and you'll have a 12.9. It seems like the average 6 speed, 110ish trap car needs a 2.0 to crack 12's. Mine did. Good luck.

95 Z28 said it before me. . . on streets, you won't break the rear. . . a 3K slip-start should get you there.

Yeah...your mph isn't matching up with your 1/4 potential. Some radials will get you there easily. But of course...I haven't heard many good things with stock 10 bolts. lol

bring up the RPMs and slip the clutch out until your moving, then rail on it. Trap speed is definately down... or my car is making wayyy more power than I thought possible.

I had the same problem, I'm scared of my rear going boom. Especially since I have 4.10's. Mine was 13.7@107. That was my only time ever running. But I was told the same thing, just slip the clutch out. My reaction was like 1.1 with a 2.4 60'. So thats was a big part of it.

I basically left the line at idle, just tried to be easy on it then laid into it

I say go ahead and build the rearend and get some drag radials...you are pretty much guaranteed low 12s.

Look at my mods and ET, and that's launching off idle. I need a stall, just like you need to be able to launch at 3500 on DRs..

throws some dr's on one time and get your 12. Like they said if you have the stock clutch, it will slip enough to take the blount of the 4 grand drop. Then you can go play on street tires

Agree on the stock clutch with 10 bolt. I was leaving at 3500 on DR's with the stock clutch/rear and netted a 12.9 spinning. I don't have near the power you have so you shouldn't have a problem getting lower.

How about we just trade cars? You have my dream car, thats all...

Hah but anyway, if your on street tires dont worry about your rearend all that much. Your tires will spin long before the rear blows. Just work on slipping(not riding) the clutch and hitting shifts, that will easily get you into the 12s with your power. Your mph seems like your shifting early too.

yes i agree 4:10's will also help your rear end a little to, they take some load off of it. i would also say its safe to drop it from 4,000 i just wouldnt do it all the time and your 60ft should improve with some good traction
