i've been thinking the same thing here lately, although it runs great on the street. My buddy has an old fox body stang that runs 12.10-12.20's and every time i run him on the street i put at least two cars on him, but i couldn't run better than what i did at the track

That is a monster cam. I'm assuming you upgraded the valvetrain to support that???

Sorry dude it just seems like something is broken to me, only reason I asked. How about your coil packs? Are you getting a nice spark???

It's your stall. I don't want to go into detail, for fear of a flame war. I recommend a Yank PT 4400. I bet you gain 3-4 mph and run .3 faster. (ok, maybe I'm just a Yank fan)

But also, what was your 1/8th mile mph? If you're falling down on the big end, your trans could just be toast.

I'd be the first to jump on the Yank bandwagon with you, but a Fuddle 3500 should certainly produce better than a 12.6 with the other mods. 3rd gear being shot to **** would make sense though if his 1/8 mph is right.

The biggest thing holding you back is your tires. You need some slicks or good drag radials.

I always thought you should be gaining about 30mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4. You're gaining 23. There might be some slip in there somewhere. I wonder if any other stalled autos can post their 1/8 to 1/4 mph gain

you may be right about the converter, i was driving it a little today and when it starts to lockup it feels like its slipping, so that might be a problem and the fact that i'm still on the stock tranny

you should pick up 22-24 mph from the 1/8 to 1/4. 30 is a BIG stretch, this isn't a pro mod turbo car going 4s in the 1/8. i had a fuddle converter in my car, i doubt that is the problem. a slipping trans would be evident under wot - you'd be banging the rev limiter all the time.

i do hit the rev limiter but only on the 2-3 shift, i'm calling up the tuner tomorrow and see if we can fix that little problem and also see if there are any other problems. might see if we can't change a couple of things as well.

Ok, well I took my car to one of my buddies and he put it on his tech2 and we found out that my o2 sensor heat circuits were in the dump, so I guess that would explain why my car is running like crap. I'm going to replace the o2 sensors and call my tuner up and see what he thinks. Then I'll be making my way back to the track to see if that helped any.

That torque is AWFUL! Somethings gotta be wrong there. How did tuner explain that???
