elevation sucks!
Took me a 100 shot and Nitto 555 to hit 12.69 and my clutch is on its way out. These runs are at 5280 ft. Not really the greatest video either.

I can feel for ya on the bad air, here in Amarillo we're close to the same as you. What track/where was that at? I'm gonna have to put the nitrous on mine to run 12's here....or a better motor!
Make a good pass in some good air and you'll be knockin at the 11's!

Yea, it'll make a big difference. Not as much with a nitrous, turbo or any FI car but N/A is probably almost half a second better in good air. It's not that much of a difference when you start running real fast but look at NHRA P/S. They don't run as fast in Denver as they do in Dallas...because of the air.
My ex-wife's Camaro would run 10.30's here in Amarillo and we average about 5-6000 ft. of air. We would take it to another track out of town alot that air averaged around 2000 ft. and it would run 9.90's. Would pick up mph also. My daughter's jr. dragster would pick up 6 tenths, but those little motors need all the help they can get.
Bring your 12.61 car to 6000 feet of air and it would probably run 13.0 to a teen maybe. I'd love to run my car at sea level. Mine ran a 14.50 here spinning the tires w/ a 2.3 60ft. Even with some sticky tires and a 2.0 60ft. most of the guys around here with stock cars a mid to high 13 is a respectable number.
