It's alive!
After fighting a bad fuel pressure regulator. I finally got it fired up. I only spent about 20 minutes on the tune, just enough to get it idling and not die when coming off rev.
I need to install the gauges and dash/interior and re mount the new fuel pressure regulator and it should be ready for a maiden voyage.
That EPP cam sounds pretty good with the open downpipe!
Oh yeah it needs a bath too.

Little more progress....
Got the dash back in. I received the rest of the 3.5" stainless to extend the downpipe back to the axle for now. Also got the new TiAL 44 W/G installed, and the new MSD APS starter showed up today.
And then I installed my custom carbon fiber gauge panel with matching Autometer Carbon Fiber gauges, along with the Eboost2 and AEM fuel pressure gauge.
Too bad someone (Nate ) removed the entire HVAC vents on 2 of the openings, so I had to get a little creative on getting a couple of the gauges to stay put. Might need to come back to those for a little more permanent fix.
I think it turned out pretty nice though.
Hoping to get it wrapped up early next week, then some shakedown passes by next weekend.

Sometimes the pictures can be deceiving, but is your drainback hose really touching the downpipe?

In the those pictures the drain was disconnected at the turbo as I was waiting on a new fitting. It is all back together now, and clears the downpipe.

It is a custom gauge panel that bolts right in where the factory cluster went, I then covered the whole thing in a sheet of real carbon fiber.
The center vents use speed inc adapters, but you have to leave the outer shell of the vent in there for a tight fit. Nate mistakenly removed the whole vent assemblies, so he is sending them back down to me.
I am hoping to have the interior wrapped up today, so I can finish the downpipe on Monday.

Yeah if all goes well this week I may take it over and strap it down to do some dyno tuning.
My damn laptop broke yesterday, I dropped it off this morning, and told them I need it asap! That is the beauty of bs3, I can use any laptop easily, and I have a couple I can use if I have too. All my files are on mine though.

Got most of the extended downpipe done, but the welder ran out of Argon, going to pick up another tank today and finish it up. I had to fire it up last night and hear how it sounds. It has a good tone, it is open and ends near the backseat area. This with cold idle, and the tune still needs to be dialed in.
