It is if you want your factory fuel system to be functional. When using a plain Jane walbro pump you'll loose the venturi system as the fuel pump bucket has to be cut up. The venturi system keeps the fuel pump submerged at all times, no matter what the fuel level is in the main tank. The Racetronix kit also comes with a hot wire kit to up the voltage of the pump. So if you want to keep all the factory functions of the fuel system and want a plug and play fuel system, then yes it's worth it. Some more info on the Racetronix kits:

If you do not hae heads and cam a Walboro pump will do. However Like Matt said the racetronix system is a much better way to go. It will syupport up to about 650 rear wheel hp.

The Walboro intank will support up to about 500.

And add return and reg at rails then 600rwhp can be seen, and then add a BAP and 700rwhp can be had.
Go with the racetronics kit, the only way to go like was said, i know i did, and the return at rails.

I should have asked this before but, how big of a shot will my car handle? It did put down 427WHP before the 12 bolt/gears/HD DS.

One more ?, I have a set of 32# injectors, should I use them or it makes no difference?

Got it, thanks. It'll ship out today, should have a tracking number later this afternoon. You asked a loaded question, safely? Stock bottom end LS1s have gone past 650 rwhp. 550 - 575 rwhp can be done and is pretty safe, the fuel system is a big part of it, and you'll have that covered. If you have the 32s and a means to tune for them, then yes, I would use them.

Single walbro will support well over 600 hp, with a return line, external regulator, and injectors.

No, but Racetronix does make a pump kit for you, we just don't stock them.

I upgraded to a '97/98 corvette return and reg at the rails, rail (stock rail has the single line and a pulsator). All stock chevy parts. The return i believe is 3/8, and if going over about 700rwhp then stock style rails need to be upsized. You can also get an adjustable press reg to fit in the stock '97/98 reg housing, a great tuning aid.
Here is a link explaining>

Adjustable Reg
On the vette kit, I also asked Matt first for a kit, but they don't carry them at this time. I went through Thunder Racing for my Racetronics pump and hot wire kit. You can also buy directly from Ractronics (online only) at a higher price though.

Check wityh Cat, he was putting a write up together with the specifics on where/how/why on the return into tank on the f-body, 6an line and tank fitting (that's really the only diff). I have a link to a write up on installing the Racetronics kit on a vette (they send no directions, as it's a dealer supplied/installed kit, but they still sell them outright).

If you are making enough HP NA then yes, at the very least you'll have a new pump and know that it'll be enough to support you on the juice.
