Default Just got my Koni's installed?

I just finished installing my 4/4 Koni's. The fronts took about 5 hours with a lunch break in the middle. Thos fronts are heavy and a pain to get in but it was not as hard as I thoug it would be.
The rears took about a hour. They were very easy.

Now I need to get the alignment set. I have never had the alignment set before. What does everyone have theirs set up to? This is a D/D.

For DD that is slightly aggressive I'd suggest looking at about a -1 to -1.5 camber. Simply speaking the farther to the negative the better as far as handling goes but the quicker your tires will wear so you need to figure out what it best for you. The caster is usually pretty nice around 4.5 and the toe for a street car I like set at 0 to keep the tires lasting longer. I agreat with UL about giving Sam a call he will be able to talk you through things really well but he will be much more likely to help if you bought the shocks from him.

x2..take it apart, put the washer in.

i give Koni an F for the directions they send with these. you'd think for $800+ youd get something that you can understand.

Koni's instructions are poor..... and that's spend time with folks going over setup. I like to call it customer service.

And you NEED that washer. In fact I tell everyone that as one of the very first things when we talk about setup.

That is such a plus for aftermarket springs. It shouldn't be too bad this time though since none of the bolts should be rusted or anything.

I'm guessing that allows access to the adjustment.

Random question.. I'm really wanting the Konis, but seriously.. over $200 per wheel?? Isn't that a little ridiculous? I know they are the best of the best for our cars.. but damn!

I say boycott Koni until the price drops low enough to tempt me.. right? who's with me??

Yet looking at your sig you paid around $100 for a some plastic (your SLP lid). Between $159-299 for your SFC's which are basically steel tubes. Probably $50 anyway for your MSD wires....

I'm not sure why you all think shocks should be dirt cheap, unless it's because you are use to old ones that were no good that you can buy from Napa for $20.

What's a decent tire cost--per wheel? Shocks are filled with rubber and oil.... AND steel. And have every bit as much R&D and development in them as tires do. But unlike tires won't be ready to be replaced in 20k miles, and I don't know of a tire that offers a lifetime warranty....

Don't get me wrong..... I get you are half-kidding. But I hear it everyday, as do most folks who sell things. Anytime I've bought on price alone, I've regretted it. The old saying you get what you pay for really does ring true most times.
