That's why you don't have the power to do so.

please no more posts, the author has an answer for all suggestions, it's his project and already knows how to do it, on a budget, with no assistance needed. i guess he just posted a rhetorical question in the first post? sheesh!

Damn, why did you have to bring this topic back up?

I wanted this to be reliable, cheap and fast, but I couldn't acheive it.

No more posts please.

That statement right there proves you have no common sense.

I never said I have common sense. I'm an uncommon guy.

Seriously though, the LS1 F-body is cheap, fast and reliable. You can't beat it.

Good luck Jason. I wish you the best. Unfortunately, it is difficult to take a project of this magnitude seriously.

Go get a mechanical engineering degree and do this for a living if it interests you. I fear that you are never going to have the financial resources to make this happen.

He's gonna have to get a M.S. if not a phd in m.e. for that

You think? I have a BSEE and had plenty of offers to work on the technical ladder in various mega-corps.

Anyhow, a BSME would be more productive than his current path.

I'm sorry. I can't hear you over the sound of the steel I'm cutting, grinding and welding.

Man, I really hate to bring up a thread I said was done, but this just occured to me.
I wanted this to be reliable, cheap and fast, but I couldn't acheive it.
When I said the above I left off the part about having the cars suspension able to drop it to the ground. If you don't mind raising the engine up a few inches in the body then you could easily build a reliable, cheap and fast mid-engine F-body with the Syclone or Caddy drivetrain. An auto with a transfer case and then have the axle run under the engine. My unique plans won't allow it, but if you don't mind a stock height vehicle and a stock rear axle location, then it can be done.

Just look at posts #28 and #33. You could even use the donor vehicles front suspension as your rear suspension to keep from fabbing one from scratch.

Still think I'm crazy?
Crazy like a fox!

In reference to post #352, I've been building a tube framed nose for my other car. It's almost done.

Yes, this thread was done a long time ago, but I never went in here since it was an old one and I've been sticking to threads started or bumped after I took "office."

So, JasonWW got the last word in.
