Carbon Fibre fun this morning at around 4 i decided to go to the garage and fool around as i was bored of watching TV.. and noticed my fiberglass lip was cracked on the underside then i noticed my fiberglass lip spoiler was getting lines in it... well crap thats what i get for going cheap right... so i ordered 12 sq ft of carbon fiber for various pieces of my car.. i was thinking i would get some thin aluminum sheet metal to help as well.
My plans are for my new lip are:
Fab up an aluminum lip and then form my carbon fiber lip in the same shape.. using flat rivets to take 2 pieces and make one.. purpose for this is it seems like i scraped the crap out of my fiberglass lip several times so the aluminum won't sheer..
My plans for the lip spoiler is pretty much the same but wrapping the entire piece of aluminum in carbon fibre..
Now your thinking well your probably going to have a bit of carbon left over.. well my fiancees cobalt needs bit too but thats a later project... any better ideas for the lip or lip spoiler are more than welcome and much appreciated!!!
