Nice tool, but it fails to take drag coefficient into account. I saw one once that took dag into account, but don't remember. I'll try to find it.

700+ dynojet IMHO. You can do it with less but thats what it takes for the normal street car

Cool it says 8.92 but there's alot of factors that are not figured in that calculation.

Check out the Mososo power speed calculator. It is a suprisingly very accurate, simple little tool. Although I'm not sure it even goes past 4000 pounds.

http://www.ajdesigner.com/fl_horsepo...apsed_time.php

try that website .. after putting your weight and how many seconds you will see alittle graph underneath it. You can put your mouse cursor on it and slide it up and down that that line and will show you all the times and horsepower.

That thing isn't even close. It says I have to be making 765 rwhp to run the times my car has @ 3350.... it only makes 450 at the tires and I"m putting 150 hp of nitrous to it.

No way in hell a single 65 jet is pushing a 450 rwhp motor to 765 LOL.

I doubt it's even 765 at the flywheel

Great tool. I've been using one for many years for my converter slip percentage. You're right though, it stops at 4000lbs.

The moroso tool does work, and is pretty accurate.

I have a moroso slide rule my grandfather gave me, that thing is almost dead on, not sure why the internet ones are all off like they are.

ET is based on traction, one thing that most will never even get close to being at the perfect case. Calculators that use weight and horsepower to generate the trap speed are more accurate and consistent, as well as closer to real world. JMHO.

The old *** cardboard slide rule I have is so accurate 99% of the time it hurts. I don't know how the #'s were derived, I just know it's always within 5%

Your times must suck.

It says my 3480lbs car would need 425rwhp to run 11.7, yet I'm doing that with 330-340rwhp.

I haven't found an internet calculator that works worth a damn. If it doesn't have a field for 60' its pretty much useless...

The internet ones, if you figure the rwhp as crank hp aren't too far off. Not sure why that is, but that's how it seems to work out.
