Default ignition coil with or without amplifier

How can i find out if a coil has a build in driver / ignitor ?
This is not specifically Ls engine related..

The reason i ask is, i have a aftermarket ecu and this can only fire coils with internal driver, If i would use a coil without one, i would blow the ecu.

this is the coil in question , it has 3 connections..

thanks, Jeejee

A coil with no built-in electronics only needs IGN,
switch and plug. That's a 2-pin connector. But I
would want to go to the donor vehicle's shop manual
to make the call.
