Default Let's talk EPS cam lobes...

I need to know more about the EPS lobes. Supposedely they are as aggressive as XER lobes but better for your valvetrain in the long run due to less "jerk"??? Some numbers were thrown around about the ramp rates and they were identical to the XER lobes. 49 from .006 to .050. The only way to lessen the stress on the valvetrain would to not have assymetrical lobes and decrease the ramp rate on the IVC and EVC side of the lopes.

Is this the 'magical' theory behind the lobe design. Or am i missing something?

Why don't you ask the head honcho himself? He is on here as Geoff. You can call him or email him. His site is here too on the right.

easy guy to talk to and I have dealt with him many times before.

Well this isn't just for my knowledge. There are many people wondering how these smaller cams are giving power way above similar spec'd cams. What makes these so special.

Need to look at the .200 duration numbers. A lot can happen from .050 to .200 lift.

EPS cam 234/246 .602/.606 114+3

Really close to XE-R specs with subtle differences, lift is less too.

.006 - .050 = 49*

.050 - .200 = 80*
