Default X-pipe/Cut-out --> all in one

Hello, I have a Trans-am 89 with an LS1 engine. I want to add a X pipe and a cut out at my exhaust line. I want to make the two into one as you can see from the picture. The exhaust lines are on top of one other the cut out is on the side. Do you think it's a good idea? This way I use just one electric cut out and not two.

Thank you

Wouldn't this mess with the scavenging affect that is the plus to using an x-pipe?

I agree. Might work OK with the cutout open; basically it's an open Y pipe. It should be larger diameter than the other pipes though if you're going to do that. Also seems like it would screw with ground clearance.

But you won't get the desired X-pipe effect with that pipe in the middle screwing with scavenging.
