People have been flipping diffs and axles for decades, with the same CWP they always used and they work just fine.

Obviously it isnt a perfect solution, but it is a viable and very cost effective solution.

If it is an extreme performance or very high powered vehicle then of course it isnt ideal....but it can still work.

Lincoln has a 400hp AWD Continental. While I have no idea what the transmission & transfer case are, it seems like something worth looking into if you want an AWD system that can handle some power and that doesn't come from a truck.

Of course the OP hasn't been back for years, but hey, maybe someone else will want to build a mid-engine AWD LSx batmobile some day.
