Why not? if it makes everything more efficient... and has lubricant shedding property's. I say go for it...

Winberg Crankshafts come micropolished for extra $$$.

In his 2013 PRI interview he said “We know what works because that’s when the customers reorders it,” he says, noting that numerous engine builders have custom ordered 180-degree or flat-plane crankshafts. “We’ve never gotten a re-order, so they must not work.”

It's 2018 and they still offer the micro polish.

Many moons ago when I blew my T56 the first time I had the shafts and gears cryo'd. It was only about $150 and added 20% strength IIRC. The company charged by pound I think.
