Spark related to piston position I have read here, most will reduce SPG on a high compression/boosted engine.
The small gap .020" will increase the Arc Duration and with a powerful coil like the IGN-1A, the Arc can exceed 30* of crankshaft rotation.
A waste of energy.

I've read of others here who are quite knowledgeable, who have bought and used your coils with great results.
If you would excuse any ignorance on my part, would your coil show any performance improvement on a "bread and butter" situation such as the stock LM7 in my Tahoe? About 9.6:1 compression, 290HP.

so whats the relationship and how much does arc duration matter (in our engines)? no idea why wire resistance would contoll it, as the plug resistance is is an order of magnitude higher. please explain.

A short spark is a bad way to start combustion The MSD CDI 6-AL produces a SHORT spark.
This will cause miss-fire at low RPM.
The answer was to spark many times at low RPM.
The normally LS engine uses a short spark plug wire.
When a SPW of 250 Ohms or higher is fitted, the spark will last longer.
