Default 100A Circuit Breaker Recommendation

Can someone recommend a circuit breaker that can reliably support up to 100A. Been looking at the types pictured but some of the reviews are not good. I realize that a lot of bad reviews are from incorrect installations, but many seem to indicate overrated specs, so I'd like to what folks here are using or recommend.....TIA.

What circuit ( or wire) are you trying to protect ?
There are several hundred million vehicles on and off road RIGHT NOW that do not have a 100 amp circuit breaker anywhere in their electrical system.
What is special or different about your installation?
( I do, in fact use similar breakers as that on battery chargers and Solar arrays)

This is for a turbo setup. It will have a 6g wire from the battery to the circuit breaker with 3 10g from the circuit breaker going to 3 relays. Relay 1 will power a small OEM in-tank pump serving as a lift pump to a surge tank and the primary Hellcat pump in the surge tank. Relay 2 will power the secondary staged Hellcat pump in the surge tank. Relay 3 will power a fuse panel for various components. As per Walbro's specs, 20+A for each pump at the projected pressure. An estimated 10A for the OEM pump and an estimated 35A for the compenents on the fuse panel.

You are confusing the purpose of the circuit breaker in this instance, a 100 Amp breaker will not protect 10 gauge wires from melting or burning.
Circuit breaker needs to be sized for the WIRE SIZE that you wish to " Not BURN"
10 gauge wire is properly fused at 30 Amps.

So, is it better to just run a seperate 30A fuse for each 10g wire?

...... Yes. OEM individually fuses each circuit.
Fuses are cheap.
Fire is expensive.

There might be two places that you want to protect...

1) each relay should have a fuse suitable for the load on that relay, like Full Power said. This will prevent a fire if there's a short-circuit downstream of each of those fuses.

2) you might want to put a circuit breaker near the battery, rated for the sum of all of those fuses, This will prevent a fire if there's a short-circuit between the circuit breaker and the smaller fuses.

If the distribution block and fuses are just inches from the battery, then the circuit breaker might be overkill.

I put a similar 200A circuit breaker (Stinger brand) into my car after I moved the battery from the engine bay to the trunk. There's about a foot of cable from the battery to the breaker, and then several feet from there to the main fuse box. The idea was to protect against shorts in that long run of wire between the battery and the fuse box. The circuit breaker needed to be rated for the enough power to run the starter motor and everything else.

While most cars don't have big circuit breakers, they usually do have a very large fuse not far from the battery. I wanted a circuit breaker because I'm not as stingy as your average car manufacturer. And it's nice to have a kill switch sometimes.

Why don't you get a hot wire kit from Summit Racing for the fuel pump which has the breaker already built into it?

Default Good Connect Method

Good Connections are WHEN you "connect the "coil wire" to the Sparkplug!
