Crane Gold/1.8/?/$699
Crane Shaft/1.7-2.0/n/???
Jesel SS / 1.7,1.75,1.8/y/$699
Jesel J2K/ 1.7-2.0/n/$1437

Put DRE in the bag and Scorpion should have some by PRI. It's funny you mention rockers arm J-rod. I thought about you yesterday as I was on the phone with a fellow I consider one of my mentors and one of the smartest men in this industry, French Grimes. Rockers came up yesterday. French simplifies everything so one can understand but when he said the following I had to smile on the phone because I new the answer: "What makes a good rocker a good rocker?", he asked. I said, " a tri-angle". I could hear him grin and we were back on my topic of conversation of trying to diagnose timing chain failures which we feel is do to a Power Harmonic.

. .well back to work.

Yella Terra stock ratio, using TR230 and Stage 2 heads with CC 977 springs and Titanium retainers, fits under stock valve covers and clears the springs and retainers.

Anyone know the weights of these rocker kits? My Jesel SS kit seems a bit heavy and they do NOT clear the stock valve covers without some grinding.

the jesel SS's wont clear the stock valve covers w/o modifications; i.e gut the underside and remove the baffles.

T&D shafts...a little less $$$ than the Jesels, also race worthy...maybe a little below the Mohawks in finish. T&D and Jesel are major providers of racing shaft systems (I believe all NASCAR teams use either Jesel or T&D).

Crane's clear without issue on centerbolt, not on early perimeter. Just installed in my 02 Vette without a problem.

I would suggest, if you can find the information, adding not only weight (which may be less relevant) but also rotary mass moment of inertia. Just not sure if the manufacturers will provide the information or how to obtain for stock rockers. This is perhaps a more important number than just dead weight.

The stock rockers weigh in at 137 grams. The Crane/VHP rockers weigh 142 grams. The bulk of the weight is located over the stud, which lessens the moment of inertia. on the Crane/VHP rocker. The stock rocker begins to deflect at 2200 lbs pressure and breaks at 2300 lbs. The Crane/VHP rocker is still steady at 3400 lbs. I think the slight increase in weight is well worth the extra strength factor, especially when the weight is centered over the stud. There is no doubt in our minds that the power increases have been well documented on this and other sites. We have never recorded an instance of any sort of rocker failure in the seven years we have been using our Crane/ VHP rockers. Roger

I'll start putting htis into an excel spreadsheet with all y'all suggestions. Thanks. If anyone can help dig up more data on mass, adjustability, etc... Feel free to post it up. I'll include whatever we can find.

. . .oohh it even got better. We got into rod/stroke ratio and going back to something DenzSS had touched on last year about angularity and cylinder pressure and runner volume based in relation to the CID and intended rpms of an engine. It was pretty interesting listening.
