Im an Automotive Technician with an associates degree in Automotive Technology. I have been working on cars since I was 15, (last 15 years). I am currently a BMW technician but have also been a general tech too, and I have built all my own cars myself. I enjoy helping people out and also learning about cars in general.

I guess I would fall under other at this point. I'm attending a University for a degree in High Performance Motorsports, some for the piece of paper that makes me look good, but mostly to further my knowledge. I do a lot of independent studies on anything automotive that I do not understand. I like to think that I have more knowledge over the various scientific thinkings behind engines and how they work.
As for listening to what I have to say, I don't really care. I'm hear to help people understand what they don't, and I do, and to learn things that I didn't previously know. If anyone has any questions by all means ask. If I don't know an answer off the top of my head I can find it.

Im 22yrs old and ive been wrenching my entire life. I do all my own work on everything except for paint. My dad and uncle have been bracket racing since before i was born.We have built several race cars and street cars for local customers from 8.50 roadsters to blown sbc street cars. Currently i am the only person in our shop that has trained and works on automatics and gen III engines. I have worked for various dealerships, mostly gm since high school. I attended NADC and graduated the hi performance engines classes(Ask me what i think.....) Recently we have been researching different turbo applications and EFI setups to keep up with new engine combinations. I am here for the detailed theoretical discussion and to see new perspectives from people much smarter than myself

The questionnare at the top is intriguing. Oftentimes one's vocation and passion are distinct and different. Some who work as mechanics for a living might simply tolerate their job or at worst despise their job. I really enjoy building cars and am confident in my knowledge and abilities, yet I am not a mechanic.

I'm 26 and a Chemical Engineer. I started wrenching at 21 with my first 4th gen, but only got to LS1s 3 years ago. I'm learning as I go, but I'm very enthusiastic about learning the more advanced aspects of LS engine mechanics, suspension and drivetrain. My first build was done in an apartment garage, completed April 2011 as a 2002 383 forged LS6 (12561168) at 11:1 with a mild cam and plans for spray, so I feel I'm on my way!

One and a half years away from my Bachelor's in Physics, then will be going for my Master's in Mechanical Engineering. My thesis is actually on the airflow characteristics of 2JZ intake manifolds.

82 Engineers on here! awesome I'm in good company. I'm a mechanical engineer, worked in the automotive industry for about 5 years. Had my hand in designing parts on the 5th gen camaro. Before you hate on me, it was purely mechanical, I wasn't fortunate enough to do body or artistic design.
