im suprised no one mentioned a vaccum pump. that would seal the rings and get rid of all the bad crank case gasses.

just go dry sumped!!!

does the above at not too much weight penalty and allows you to mount the engine lower (better centre of gravity, helpfull when going around corners) and better weight distributiion (you can stick the oil tank in the back).

also gun drilling of drive shafts/propshafts or running hollow ones reduces the chance of fractures forming and should be just as strong!!!!
