Well, I don't know enough about bowling to comment on the ball's minimum weight, but my calculation looks like this: 27" circumference = 8.59" dia. Volume of a sphere is (dia. cubed x Pi)/6 = 332.38 c.i., or 5.4468 L, thus would weigh 5.4468 kg. or 12.01 lb.
Maybe in Russia, where The Father of the Corvette was born, they didn't go in for those pansy lightweight *****...
