C.A.D. right?

I am taking a class right now that uses programs like that. I get bored sometimes making houses and such, so I could make one if you'd like I'm not sure what solid works is though (?).

Also, are you wanting just the basic exterior? Or are you wanting me to insert a motor and interior and everything? If that is what you are wanting, that might take a tad bit of time...

a cad model of an engine block is a very extensive model, good luck getting it. It is proprietary information for GM and will never be given for free. If you do get a copy of the GM model it will not be a legal one, and if you get a copy of a different model it wont be a complete one, maybe close, but not all.

I had one back in school. One of my teachers worked with some race team that built some kind've race car project (he never gave us the details) and he told us probably 100 times how expensive the drawings were and we weren't even allowed to have internet access that whole week so nobody could send out the drawings. My guess is it's pretty tough to track anything like that down. But good luck none the less.

you can pull measurments off of it if you have an e drawing viewer
(e drawing is a mail friendly format you can put sw files in in case anyone was wondering)

however you cannot snap to points, surfaces or edges inside of e drawing so your dimensions would be only close, never exact.

check it out
