Using boost pressure to increase exhaust velocity.
The biggest difference between your idea and the examples you've given is the airflow is perpendicular to the flow of the other fluid. Another difference is the ratio of airflow to whatever else flow is huge in your examples but tiny in the header idea. this would lead to you pulling air fuel mix into the exhaust rather than into the cylinder! this can be a probelm on boosted engines with too much overlap. the mixture basically goes in the inlet vavle and then straight out the exhaust vavle. not good for power.
