LS (2) on MOTEC
I was wondering,if someone running his LS on a MOTEC M800 (not 48) ECU, or simliar.
If yes, do you:
-running the O2/Lambda sensors (1 or 2??) fulltime (closed loop and paid for it) or used it just for dynotuning?
-fitted a fuel pressure sensor and running closed loop(permanent) as well?
-throttle body/inlet: only MAP or with throttle degree sensor?
-where did you get the wiring harness?
Thanks a lot

Hey, I actually contacted motec a long time ago, and they said there were lsx engines running their system. Although now there are other solutions such as flashing the original pcm or big stuff3 or others. Why do you need to go motec - they are nice, but very pricey.
Not hard at all. I got the Motec M800 harness from Motec. Its a MAP based system that uses all stock sensors, including the TPS. The system we did was for a C5, Drive by wire, open loop, Lamdas were not used other than for data logging.

PS this is a great system for FI aplications

The harness, IIRC was 2500. We carried a spare harness when we used that system. If you have patience and some knowledge of their connectors, you can make your own harness. Its just connecting the proper pin-outs to their respectable sensor
i know a few guys that have done transplants in the UK have gone to standalone ECUs! i think it can make the mapping easier (i think) thanks to the great number of adjustments you can make! might be worng though!
Chris.
