Arao 32 Valve heads?
Anybody seen these? I just got an email about them... Wouldn't you have to spin you motor sky high to take advantage of these?

As the one guy posted on there I would think that would put some considerably more pressure on the rest of the valvetrain. Definately would be interesting, and would really change the sound of the LS1

The Arao guys have been around for years, and at one time they had a terrible reputation for never delivering product (as in, take your money but not send you any heads). Maybe they're different now ...

I know on there other heads the big deal has always been that they are cost prohibitive. Heck for the price of heads you can go buy a car with 32V from the factory!

russ arao is not diffrent. he always has an always will be a shitty sales man. i know of a company that had some dealings with him and russ basically screwed them and the company who funded some very nice BBC marine heads. it's unfortunate because the heads are very nice and work really well, just the guy is the biggest dumbass.

I like the trailing quote at the end of your post.
Here's a shorter version that you might like.
Engines Designed and built.
Fast, Reliable, Cheap.
(Pick any 2.)
On a serious note, with regards to the 4 valve heads, I wonder why some of the bigger aftermarket head makers (AFR, ETP, etc,), haven't thought of this. Or if they have, why haven't they brought them to market. Just a though that rattled through my brain.
Thanks for the info.

probably since most racing org's require the use of a 2 vlave head if the motor came with it. that way the bigger comapnys can appeal to the racers and street guys who want to be racers or whatever. where as a 4v head theres not many classes you can use them in so all you have is big pocket street racers or show cars to use them. kills alot of the demand.
but i can't lie the heads are nice and they work well. if you don't mind waiting a year or so for one set and tons and tons of it got shipped out last week excuses for the whole year.

these look great!
rons 00z your very right about the market for these heads! most guys dont like the idea of going to 4 vavlers. and as GM has YET to release anything with more than 2 vavles for the ls engine the damand will be low.
as the demand is low the tooling costs to manufacture these heads will go through the roof. meaning even less people want them...... and you're back o the beging.
might be worth holding your horses a little, lets see what these heads can do on a dyno.
Chris.

I would be really interested in a variable cam phaser VVT retrofit for the LS motor. It would definitely make it easier to run those monster cams without the drawbacks!

Who else sees another "DOHC v.s. OHV" argument coming? Go to Nelson Racing Engines' site, they've got a vid of a GenI 383 with these heads and a roots blower on top, throttle response sounds wicked
