NHF, 10mm tap 2.0 pitch ?????
thanks for any help, if you could just p.m. me, thanks
What kind of block?
I've never seen an M10 with a pitch greater than 1.75mm, and that's a special. Coarse M10 is 1.5 mm pitch.
Could it possibly be a 7/16-14? In metric units, that would be just about an 11 mm x 1.8mm pitch thread.
If it does turn out to really be M10 2.0 you can put a flute in a stock head bolt and use it to chase the threads. When chasing super critical stuff like head studs I prefer to clean the chaser each time with methanol 6 times or so, until you wipe it with a cloth the last time and its clean. I may be super paranoid about stuff like this but its been 5 cars and 10 ish motors that I've built and have yet to have one leak or come apart on me. Contamination of assembly lube or thread lockers can lose a race for you.
good selection and price,
i bought a handful of taps from them, but
took over 2 weeks to get them and they sent me 1 incorrect tap,
I called them and the broad on the phone said she would send it out. Never got it. I blasted them on the yahoo online review.
they don't have a m10x2.0 listed unfortunately, but i didn't search the site only this page
