I started college 2 months before this project started. I have 15 more hours until I graduate with a BS in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management.
My father and I were told that delays and problems were OUR fault. That we blew up the motor, that WE picked the wrong transmission etc...We knew however that this was not the case and I think this proves it. Its an absolute joke how much more the car has in it. Its making almost 200hp less, 200lbs more weight, and WAYYYYYYYY less timing, but it runs faster. Even better than that, the car RUNS! Its gonna be MUUUCH faster if not this season DEFINATLY next season.
We are just a couple guys that love cars and its just sad that in 4 years our lives have changed so much that we barely even have time to enjoy the damn car now. Hopefully when I graduate things will be different. It puts a grin from ear to ear for me to see that car make a pass.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Motor got rebuilt with an LSX block and a new set of pistons. Less compression, only 20 degree of timing, new tuner, same horsepower, runs perfect. Car has had many dyno pulls, industrial park romps, about 10 passes and no issues with spark plugs.
We will have more times soon. Its been the winter and we got some new **** to play with. LSX was too heavy, had to go back to C5R.

Now that we have a motor that works as it should we are finally geting down too the nitty gritty. We have made 3 trips to the track. Off the top of my head the last time at the track (October) went about like this:

I dont have the time slips in front of me so I cant recount the MPH exactly, it was a few months ago.
Transmission/Torque Converter:
Amazingly the same stall converter and transmission (TCI) stalls correctly now.
Only changes we made:
Pistons to lower compression
New Tuner & Engine Builder (www.prolineraceengines.com)
With a little help from Vengeance (www.vengeancerd.com) and Proline we will be racing in a month.
I still firmly believe it was originally built with way too tight of clearances and the tune didnt help. I am still pissed that it was blamed on all these diferent reasons, including my father and I. Amazingly the motor doesnt blow up, spark plugs dont burn, stalls fine, and cranks everytime.
Im happy, were happy, car runs, car is fast, economy sucks, War Damn Eagle!
