Passenger side backrest handle cracked.. How to fix?!

Passenger side backrest handle cracked.. How to fix?! I have only the basic cloth seats...
I noticed today on the passenger side seat, the
handle to adjust the backrest is cracked!!
Its the loopy handle on the side of the seat...
Its broken on the top part, dead center.
Whatever 'passenger' did that..I'm going to STRANGLE!'
I tried superglueing it with just a dab..wont stick...tried it again and wrapped in in 'quacker tape' to keep it firmly together...
Looks like it may have to be replaced...
Now..this little plastic piece is RIVETED in!! WTF!
So it doesnt look like any easy swap...
Anyone have this problem? How can I replace it?
Also..the car is on an extended warranty...Ya think
they will cover it??

Re: Passenger side backrest handle cracked.. How to fix?! Super glue isn't going to work well on that. You would probably have to use an epoxy based adhesive. IMHO, I would take it to the dealership and see what they say before you jimmy rig it. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> If you keep at it they may replace it. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

I used up my last roll of duct when the motor mount broke... <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
