Default 1998-2002 Camaro Engine Bay Covers...

New pics... I just spray painted and slapped them on (in the dark wee hours of the morning) to get some pics. Finished pieces are a little more revised (they get rid of the gap at the front where the headlight is) and when you actually mount them they look more refined.

Not for everyone but definitely something for the show guys to work with...

Now, again, actually mounted the panels fit well and will have nice gaps, etc... We just pulled an all nighter (three car shows from 10pm to 10am), I spray painted them before the first show, picked them up before the second and threw them on for pics before the third.

The two side pieces STAY MOUNTED TO THE CAR. The center piece you take on and off for car shows. Other companies make ok looking items to "dress up" that area I just wanted a piece that people could use to cover it all up when the hood was popped for prolonged periods of time, specifically for car shows.

This way you can pop the hood, through the center plate on, sit your trophies, plaques, car info there for the show and then just pull it up real quick before you hit the road

Again, not for everyone but I think they are nice pieces to help show guys have something to work with to finish their engine bays off a little more.

They come in Stainless Steel which is mirror polished but you can also have powder coated any color (even body colors) by Silver Ghost or we also offer them in ABS.

INTRODUCTORY PRICE: $125 SHIPPED for all three in Stainless Steel and $100 SHIPPED for all three in ABS

Please refrain from asking questions here... I have a thread in the New Products section:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=cover

and the best place for quick answers is to post or PM here:

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/forum/...php?topic=61.0

Again, not for everyone but I definitely think compared to this...

this...

...is a HUGE improvement

Thanks for looking !

You remove the center plate before you shut the hood so it wouldn't effect anything...

Just lifts on and off, not a lot of work

You can always dress up the area under it with the piece dragon sells...

I think it could be improved. Any way you could make it all one piece but be able to close the hood?

All one piece you would have to remove the whole thing every time you closed the hood.

Like I said, they're just laying on there. When they are installed they will look, well, installed

Also, these were the prototype pieces. The finished pieces have adjustments so that when put together they LOOK more like one piece and the front edge has NO GAPS and mimics the hood line more

Again, this isn't for everybody. Just something for the show crowd to cover an ugly area and focus attention on the engine at shows...

maybe not a 1 piece, but i think a 2 piece, like from the headlight to the latch, from both sides

You may think about making the end pieces more rounded around the headlight. Itsted of making it straight. Know what I mean?

I think it would look better if the edges weren't so straight. The front end of an LS1 Camaro, even the headlights, all have a very rounded look. Throwing sharp edges into the mix makes it look awkward.

I hear you, actually contouring the front sharp edge (over the headlights) to look more wavy like the hood is in process

What we were noticing at the "12hrs of car shows" is that most cars have this area covered up from the factory. Unlike Camaros.

Yeah, I could easily do that. Take the three pieces I have (refined) make them one piece and cut out a huge ugly hole for the hood latch, washer fluid, etc...

I could have an option with no washer fluid hole for those who dump it.

More money though. Shipping would at least triple.

Not if you kept the design three pieces. I think most people have an issue with the center piece because most love the look, but want to be able to drive the car without removal. You could offer 2 center pieces, one with the hole and one without depending on application.

Yeah, I could easily do that if there was PAID interest...
