believe it or not my car spent a good portion of its life in salty areas. first 2 years in hawaii and then another few years in florida. but in florida the car was a good 15-20 mi from the coast and i have no idea how far it was from the coast in hawaii, but mine came out ok. i guess its how often the underbody is cleaned and how far you actually live from the coast
