Default Damage on the nose

I have some damage on the nose of my car and it looks like the only way to fix it is repainting. I've never had anything painted or touched up before, so I don't know how to go about this. Should I have the whole nose part repainted, or do people usually have spot jobs done? Also, will I need something special done to make sure those same cracks don't pop back through?

yeah that will probably need repainting. its not too bad. here's my bumper from a few years ago after a car wash ran it into something. the insurance company replaced the bumper since it had been repainted once before (almost a year to the day before the car wash ran it into something) bumper no 2 lasted a year before a farmer dropped a bale of hay in the road and i couldnt swerve far enough to avoid it and caught it with the left side of the bumper

heres one from the car wash incident

and one from the hay

you're gonna have to have the whole bumper repainted which will cost around $300. as for the cracks they look like they are in the paint so shouldnt come back as long as the body shop puts a flex agent in the paint

yeah, sometimes they can spot in the damaged areas with base and just reclear the entire area (or bumper in your case) but the damage looks to extensive on yours so 95blackta pretty much hit it on the nose with his explanation (no pun intended, lol)

Well, at least I can have the license plate holes filled in at the same time. Maybe something a little custom done with the bird too :]

spider cracks can't really be "spot touched" i think.

I think it'd just be better if you got the whole bumper painted

those stress cracks will be down to the plastic. if you want it to be back to how it was before, you're in for a repaint. Standard repaint is fine.. they'll just take off the bumper, sand it down and repaint. Doubt any real damage is done to the bumper itself unless there's something I'm not seeing.
