I can't seem to find liteweight carpet, much less cheap carpet. I think I am going to trim the paddding off the stock carpeting.

I tried Auto Custom Carpets they advertise in Summit. $240 for OEM style... sigh.

John, It was as easy as a trip to the local upholstery shop. They had rolls of different thickness and colors. I found an incredibly light but not very durable carpet that is almost an exact match to the factory color. I just made sure I left with plenty(10-12 feet). They didn't charge me because I send them alot of work but told me it was 30.00 at the most in material. As far as noise, you hear everything. The exhaust is much louder, you can hear any creak, axle noise, etc, etc.

If you want the carpet at a "good" price, talk to Angie. She did this to her car when the cage went in and it turned out looking awesome. Looks stock, but saves ~30lbs.

you can use speaker carpet. its not wide enuff as is, so you get 2 rolls sewed together and it drops right in with the normal trimming <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
