There's no way the hood is functional. How is air fed in thru the intake? The SS hood uses ram air to force air into the intake. That makes no sense on how it would work with this hood

Here are some more pics of the hood.

.

.
I have made these openings bigger to allow more air to pass through to get to my FIPK intake from K&N.

Even though it will not function as well as a cowl hood in which the cowl is located at the base of the windshield to create a difference in pressure, any break in the hood (AKA Louvers) will cause a break in the airstream and air will follow the lines to the intake. Plus like I said I do have the FIPK which is much more suitable for my hood than a lid which also helps create suction to bring air to the intake itself.

Not bad but not great. I wouldnt get the hood but im glad u did, i like seeing somehting different. Wheels stick out too much for my taste but are really good looking.
EDIT: I think the front emblem needs to be replaced or smoothed out as well

Like I said it is about 90% done right now exterior wise.. Still have to fill in the emblem, the lettering on the taillight panel, and the cme. I am also shaving the antenna and I have to do something with my corners but than that is pretty much it.

I like the hood, and the wheel offset is not perfect. But that rear shot looks mean as hell.

I like the fog lights. How did you mount them?

My buddy had them sitting around from his 5.0... They are essentially just bolted on using an L-style bracket to the front of the frame when you take off the bumper.

So often we see original ideas that are over the top, and look like ****. This one actually looks pretty cool. It's definitely over the top and not something I would do...but I have to admit the car looks mean, and there's alot to be said about mean looking cars.

You have my respect for trying something pretty radical and making it look good.

OK so it seems you've been on here long enough and don't care and still will post pics so +1 right there
I've never seen those wheels on an F-body and there huge and look nice are they off an actual series 1 shelby or aftermarket?
The hood is different and modern looking and I think if you gear the rest of the car towards a modern look it will look even nicer.
The spoiler is nice on the car and so is the CME but it needs tips.
The front of the car is confused at this point. I would get some halos and black housing sidemarkers to modernize the front. Also lose the side emblems and add or smooth the front bumper emlem. Is it lowered I can't tell for sure. Your on the right track and congrats for being different.

Thanks again for the props from everyone...
The Shelby's are real Shelby Series 1 wheels. Three piece aluminum from SAC. I have 275/35/ZR18's in the front and 335/30/ZR18's in the rear. The CME is expecting Real Corsa's once I get them refinished.

When I first put on my SLP grill with the fogs the front did seem a little cluttered/confused to me as well. I am still trying to work out exactly what to do with it but like I said up top, I will be filling in the nose emblem but I just dont really know what to do with corners. I was thinking about going body color w/ an amber bulb so it still was amber when it was on. Has anyone seen this?? I think smoked would be ok but I dont want to smoke my headlights or the fogs (I tried the fogs just didnt look right.) and I am not really a fan of the Halos.. Maybe the two lens but not three. It is lowered, I have Bilstein BTS suspension on it which dropped it about an inch with the Shelby's on and about two inches with the Outlaws.

I am a believer that if it is a Z28 it should stay badged that way. Now if a V6 got an LS1 put in it then sure you can badge it with an LS1 badge if you wanted but not a Z28. Just my opinion. Maybe I can modernize it a bit. I will look into that one.
Thanks for the opinions and suggestions.

The hood isnt AS bad as I thought it was going to be. I still don't like the side vents on it though, it could do without those.. And I like the style of rim you have on there, I just don't like how they stick out so far in the back..

And you should modernize those Z28 emblems..

i believe the functionality of the hood is not to force air in, it's to become heat extractors and pull air OUT. so yes it is functional.
