The hood is different, but looks good. The rear wheels stick out a little far for my taste, but I don't drive it.
Kudos to you for going forward with a look and enjoying it.

Default still don't get it?

I'm still not getting the function part of the hood, the central vent allows air to go inside that double curved part that is moulded in the underside and then exit from 1/2" holes and others you made larger into what? I think you've said you have a K&N FIPK but is it the the kind that just eliminates the airbox completely and uses that weird flat oval filter that lays on top of the rad support only?? if so, how is that sealed off against engine/radiator heat in any way? and how is there any ram air effect to this when the intake area is facing the wrong direction? I do understand the cowl and other venting of the heat of the engine compartment but I'm not feelin the CAI portion of this whole setup, now if you had something like a WS6 ram air box which sealed up to the bottom of that hood that would be a different story... how bout an engine bay pic guy?

i think if u fab up ram air system to force air from underneath the car into the engine bay, it will throw more air out the top. and you ARE hooking up some cme tips with that cme right?

I only know of two other Camaro's with Shelby Series 1 wheels and they are both LT1 and I have never seen my hood before. Here is a pic of my Shelby's from the rear.... At first I was worried they would be too wide. I have two drag bags in the rear to keep them from rubbing the rear quarters. Yeah they are wide, but with the Valance and everything else the cars stance is great. Thanks again for the props.

Oh my god... I'm definatelly loving your car.

Where did you find a set of Shelby wheels? I saw a set on ebay about a year ago, but thats the only place i've seen them. Googling just came up with a bunch of ford wheels.

Props. Love the car. The hood looks good imo. I would have to say it does stand out. I get **** for just replacing my stock Z hood with an SS one. You will never make a purist happy. Good job on the ride!

If its a 1998 why are the mirrors body colored, or did you have the car painted. Oh a props for doing something and being creative. The hood actually looks a lot better than i thought it would.

Picked up a pair of red mirrors in a yard for 10 bucks. Not quite exact but its tough to notice the difference. The whole car will be repainted eventually.

I like the hood it is very different. First that I have seen.

Good GOD those wheels are big. What is a drag bag? never heard of it. Are they like a 345 tire or is the off set different?

basically it is just a strong plastic kind of air bag that you fill and put in your passenger side rear spring to even out the rear when you are drag racing. I already had one in the passenger side and just put one in the drivers side rear to stop it from rubbing. The tires are 18" by 12" in the rear, 335's like I said before.
Here is the dish on the rears.

This is where I draw the line sir. I hate being a hater, but honestly now...

heres my opinion. +1 for originality, +1 for no carbon fiber, -1 doesn't flow with the design of the car, -1 narrow rear drag wheels. So I guess I'm neutral. My biggest problem I think is the fact they don't flow with the design of the car. All of its proportions are rounded, and with squared vents its just... wrong. Still well done and good try.
