Heads Up Display from Vette into F-Body... What would it take?

Heads Up Display from Vette into F-Body... What would it take? I was looking at the HUD on the C5's, and I would really like one on my TA. Aside from the obvious trimming needed on the dash, what would it take electrical wise? Has anyone done this?

Re: Heads Up Display from Vette into F-Body... What would it take? This topic has been discussed and before and I think the general consensus is that it can not be done, because of windshields are different.

I just love that HUD display on the Vette, once you have used it, it is hard to understand why it is not in so many other cars. The Vette windshield with the HUD is different from the non-HUD Vette windshield. There is a special coating on it that allows for you to be able to see the numbers so clearly. And the HUD windshield is much more expensive because of this.
But I also remember reading somewhere about a few people who had installed all of the HUD components into regular Vettes and not having any trouble viewing the HUD. So I don't know how important the "special" coating is, so the conversion might be possible.

Re: Heads Up Display from Vette into F-Body... What would it take? Godspeed converted his non-HUD C5 to hud, without the windshield. He doesnt have a problem with it.
I think that this would be very difficult to do on an f-body. First thing is that the hud projecter on the C5 connects to the back of the guage cluster. I dont know what each wire does, but I suspect the hud talks over the j1850-vpw 10.4k data bus.
