20 passes on ET streets? How many left?
I'm about to buy some et streets that have 20 passes on them. How much would normally be left on them? how much r they worth? Thanks.

I usually get about 140-165 passes out of my 26 x 11.5 x 15 et streets (4-5 second burnout) They are around 150-165 new so maybe 120 each?? (best guess)

plus they have a few more cords in the tire than a slick, so the sidewalls are slightly stiffer, i found my mph doesn't suffer as much as it did with slicks

DO NOT DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH THESE TIRES!!!..They don't have much of a groove..If you do get caught, don't go over 35!! I know a few people that did and wrecked there cars..Me and Pro Stock Johnny have been caught with these tires on in the rain..just takes longer to get home..best bet is, just change them at the track..

Not a very smart thing to try at all...
Also, tire life will also depend on more than just how long of a burnout you do... My car hits the tires pretty violently, and seems to fatigue the sidewall and rubber compound quicker than other folks. I can have a good amount of tread remaining on a set of slicks, but they don't work worth a crap anymore...
In other words, 20 passes on my car would be different than 20 passes on a 13 second car... I usually get 100 passes or so out of a set of slicks before they're dead.

seen a car with et streets in the rain get loose at 25 mph! I'll second the opinion, CHANGE THEM BACK!! I've done this in the pouring rain numerous times, and better to spend 15 minutes for peace of mind driving home then crash your ride and wonder what could have been.

John at world of wheels had like a splash of water on the top of the tire and when he tried going in reverse the car didn't want to go anywhere..... <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">
