Default suncoast creations sucks!!!

hey guys,

i just got my ss wing for my car, and i have experienced the worst experience in my life with them.

first of all i bought the wing last monday
for $365.00/$35 shipping=$400 and that it would
delivered by thursday or friday at the lastest.
so im seating around the house waiting friday,so
i call suncoast to find out were it is or get a
tracking number from rick(sales manager)who took the order.i also gave specific instructions to sent it to my business not my house. well they told that the wing did not ship until wednesday. wtf? so that meant i was not getting the wing on friday.rick also told me that they had it in stock and it will ship the
next day (tuesday). so the tracking number said it would delivered on the feb 12,so im waiting
tuesday at work for the delivery.its 3:00pm so i look the tracking on the internet and it said 1st attempt made,no one there!!!so im like wtf.call suncoast again to find out whats going on,and rick says im sorry but we put your home address on there.no sir i told you to send it to my business, well i did not process the order one
of other guys did it and must have messed up!
great, so what are going to do for me, well alli can do is change the address and send to you tommorow.what ive been waiting a week 1/2 for the dam thing. well you need to refund something for yalls screwups, well ill have to get back with on that.well now its wednesday and i got the wing about 12:00 p.m. the box looked like ****,im not saying thats there fault, becuase ups sucks anyways, but the box had been taped like in 15 different places. my told me that they do package
pretty well so i signed and brought it my store, opened it and as soon as i looked in the box
it had chip in it and the packaging was crap, two pieces of foam and the brake and bolts were taped to the wing, that was it.im not worried about the chip.it point and the principal behind the whole thing.also they say on there website it ways 40pounds , ups ticket says its 18pounds total weight.so suncoast is full of crap on 40pds.i will never ever order any thing form them or refer anyone to the again!!!i have heard alot of bad experiences with in the past, and i would have to say way more bad then good.also the wing is rk sport, not suncoast wing, so thats crap

thanks
wayne a very dissapointed customer!!!

please reposed with you experiences!!!

Ok three years ago I had a 93 T/A and I ordered the Suncoast hood that was designed to look like the 98 WS6 hood. It was 1200 bucks, well I put it on and it broke in half!!!! I called them and they said no problem, they sent another one, well it didnt fit right. One corner stuck up over two inches! I called them and said for them to come pick up this piece of crap. Well in the next few weeks I received phone call after phone call from different people at Suncoast, until one day the owner called. He explained they had a problem with their mold and it had been fixed and if I EVER wanted another Suncoast hood I would receive it at half price. I thought that was very professional. Well I bought a new Z-28 and wanted a SS hood, so I called Suncost. They said that they had changed owners and that the offer no longer stands, but they would give me 20% off, wow. I was not impressed, they guy on the phone was an ***, he acted like I fabricated my story until he found my file in his computer. 20% off of a overpriced hood, well my next call was to ASCD and they sold me the hood for 600 bucks and treated me like I were a King. Suncoast is not long for this world.

I couldn't believe the chip in Wayne's SS tail! But UPS could be to blame for that. As far as customer service, sounds like they are slacking, or have been.

I'm glad I have no need for anything they sell. It would feel like a gamble to see if everything turns out good.

Wayne is the second friend I know that has bought from Suncoast Creations. I've seen both Wayne's tail and our friend Rick's hood delivered in bad shape, very bad shape. 98 Snake Eater (LS1.com moderator) has pics were the top half of his Suncoast Creation WS6 style hood flew off while he was going down the highway!
Here is the link to the pics: Airbourne Suncoast Hood!
That could kill somebody!

If the damage comes from shipping they need to find a different shipper, anybody besides UPS. If the damage is their wrong doing they need to have a better quality control (if they have any).

Peace,
Craig.

Craig you are giving mis-leading information. My Suncoast hood had a few scratches from the staples on the box but i called them and they said that they would pay for the body work that needed to be done to correct the problem. I said the hell with it, it was nothing major and i thought that the body prep work would fix it all------boy was I wrong. My dumb *** took it to a cheap *** body shop (Apollo) and they f*cked it all up. First they said it would be done in 2days for $125.00 and it ends up taking 11 days and they wanted to charge me $250.00. I told the manager f-you and my brother had to stop me from kicking his ***. Well after that they stripped the hood and I had to take it to guy who does custom work and he told me that they did not know what the f*ck they were doing, they sanded way to much off the hood and he had to do a sh*t load of body work to fix it. He had it looking perfect until the houston heat got it and then some of the body work started to show, but you realy can't see it unless the right light hits it. Sorry Wayne, but I love my hood, the fit was perfect not even a hair off and it looks good. Would i order another hood from Suncoast--yes, is their customer service any good---it was for me. I hate to hear my friends have bad experiences with their cars but i think that the problem is with Rk Sport. Since suncoast actually does not make the or ship the wing they are going off what RK sport is telling them about the manufacturing and shipping process. But, the bottom line is that suncoast sold the wing and is responsible and should at the very least credit you all of the freight back or send you a new wing. I will add this though----RK sport sucks *****------. I puchased a grille from them and it came with no instructions and when i called them and asked them to fax me some over they sent over a hand written letter stating to install the grille with the necessary hardware---complete lack of customer service.

I'm out

My experience with Suncoast was fine.

Shipping seemed to take awhile but no problems with the products.

Oh well, but then again I did not buy any body pieces.

I remember at the time you got your hood you were pissed! Yes they were just scratches, but that one was deep! It is fixed and I can't see where it was anymore so thats cool. They need to learn how to package their hoods. I know you said they were willing to work with you. But did they for Wayne? No, and his wing came looking like somebody dropped it, a few times!
After seeing these dealings with Suncoast and reading what happened to 98 Snake Eater's hood flying off on the highway, thats enough for me to stay away.

I'm sure there are more than a few happy customers. I know you can't please everybody all the time, but at least try to.

Peace,
Craig.

P.S. Rick, go get some headers!!!

Wow! Another RKsport/Suncoast satisfied customer! Yep! You can add me to their product suck list. I've bought 1 93-97 Ram Air hood, 1 98-02 SS hood and 1 SS spoiler from them over four years. Here's my transactions with them.

97 Ram Air hood condition and quality was perfect very easy prep and paint. Shipped on time.

Bought from private party 98-02 SS hood painted black. Poor fit and flawed imperfections along top of hood just around the area where the hood struts were attached to hood. $300 to try to correct and repaint! Bodyshop did a great job but the hood would distort during hot days exposing the impefection within the hood. The color black shows more flaws anyway! No fault of bodyshop just a poor quality hood issue.

last...

Perchased an 98 SS spoiler. Quality and fittment was poor. Only slightly resembled the factory SS spoiler. You could tell it was a cheap copy of the factory spoiler. Enclosed instructions stated mount an check for proper fit before painting or your dollars are spent with NO refund! Well it didn't fit right. I made several attemps to get a proper fit with no luck. Plus there's not alot you can do to correct a poor fitted spoiler. It's either the deck lid that's warped or it's the quality of Suncoast spoiler. I sent that crap back and got charged a 15% restocking fee plus another shipping charge to send it back. -$95 total!

Basically I ended up giving RK and Suncoast $100. I finally purchase the factory SS spoiler for around $760 then paid to have it painted. Nice huh!

In the end I ended up spending more and got less thanks to Suncoast product & quality!

It seems it's hit or miss with there products & service.

Lesson learned: If you want the original factory look then don't settle for less. In the end you will have piece of mind that you got a original qualtiy product and not some second hand copy that TOOK YOU for your hard earn cash in hopes it'll be the same as the original!

Maybe I do exaggerate a bit. And no I don't know about bodywork so sue me. Point is that it came with about a 1/2" chunk missing out of the corner. Maybe it's not their fault, it most likely is UPS that did the damage.
But Wayne just look at the name of this thread you started, suncaost creations sucks!!!
Maybe the chunk missing (in your eyes) is not that much now, but all that hard earned money you spend you should expect it perfect. They should either pack it better or switch to Fed Ex for their main deliveries. Just my $.02

BTW- It was nice of them to credit $50 back to your account, that is customer service. I'm glad they stepped up to the plate and helped you out Wayne. Thumbs up to Suncoast for that.

Now I'm sure they're some satisfied guys out there from Suncoast. Make a post here. I know bad news travels around more than good news so speak up.

Peace,
Craig.
