are car covers bad? my cars lowered and every time i go down the driveway (i dont have the steepest driveway in the world either) the bottom of the front end scrapes against the cement. i even tried angling it but it still scrapes so i was thinkin of parkin it out front and using a car cover. will that mess up the paint? (seems like it would scratch every time i put in on and off). know any good ones? thanks

Re: are car covers bad? If you use a car cover, whether it's inside or out the car must be TOTALLY clean, i.e. just washed and dried and the cover immediately put on. Any dust on the car will be used a sandpaper when the car cover is put on.
Re: are car covers bad? Just putting the cover on the car will always cause a little swirling here and there. Once the cover is on your pretty much safe but you need to fast the sides down so it wont move at all when the wind tries to get under the sides of the cover.
Even putting the cover on a dusty car will create a major headache.

Re: are car covers bad? You basically just have to make sure that its clean inside and out....my SLP car cover tends to have some nasty threads in it, so if you don't take it off correctly you can scratch the paint pretty easy...

If I wash it and don't cover it will get filthy dusty in only a week. Covered it and it stays clean. After I drive it I California dust it and recover it.
It stays clean for months that way unless I get caught in a rain or Bug storm.
